Our Extraction Services
Increase and Protect Your Hard Work.
Our Extraction Process
There are various extraction methods used today based on several functions: quality of output, end use for the product, quantity of product desired, and the complexities of the cannabis plant overall containing 120+ different cannabinoids and terpenes.
Here at Frosty's, we stick with the extraction service that produces the best quality CBD oil. It's the most efficient and food safe process available - Cryogenic ethanol hemp extraction. Maximizing yields, we clean, dry and grind the biomass in order to prepare prior to extraction, providing better contact with the food grade solvent. This allows us to offer crude oil that is easier to process downstream, is better for food safety concerns, and retains a higher percentage yield of CBD in the process.
By adopting the Decarboxylated CO2 extraction method, we can offer time and cost-efficient batch extraction with capacity to handle 75,000+ lbs per day for larger processors, a higher quality end product, and an environmentally friendly food and consumption-safe extraction method.
Why We Are Cryogenic
Cryogenic extraction offers significantly higher yields compared to traditional extraction methods. The ultra-low temperatures facilitate a more thorough extraction, allowing the solvent to access hard-to-reach compounds, and increase the overall extraction efficiency.
The ability to perform the extraction process at lower temperatures reduces the need for extended extraction durations, leading to substantial time and cost savings.
Superiority in Ethanol
Ethanol is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards. Ethanol is derived from renewable sources and possesses low toxicity, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly choice. Heat-sensitive bioactive molecules, such as terpenes and flavonoids, are better retained, resulting in extracts with enhanced potency and aroma.
Filtration
Are you looking to refine your crude oil for higher quality and more value?
We optimize our ethanol extraction process using our five-stage filter skid to achieve your ideal clarity and color. The filtration skid includes pre-filtration, particulate and haze removal, wax removal, decolorization, and final-stage fine particulate removal.

We feel it is imperative to utilize this post-processing stage of the ethanol extraction process to clean up any unwanted plant particles, pigments (carotenoids, chlorophyll, etc.), and lipids from your valuable material.
